Off-Grid Upgrade after 14 years

If you buy good equipment and look after your off grid system, it will last a long time.

We provided this customer near Litchfield National Park with one of our new integrated power cabinets to replace his old system. There was not too much wrong with it, but after 14 years their family had grown so we replaced the whole lot to keep everyone happy.

This system comprises:

28 x REC 400 watt solar panels = 11.2 kW

1 x SP Pro battery inverter = 7.5 kW

8 x PPE LIFE batteries = 30 kWh of storage

2 x AERL Coolmax DC chargers = 6 kW of charge

1 x existing ABB PV inverter = 4 kW of extra charge

1 x existing Yanmar 12 kVA backup generator will start automatically when needed (which is now very rarely!)

The classic art deco SP Pro Series 1. Some say the best looking inverter ever.
Still going after 14 years, but we replaced it with a series 2.

Integrated power cabinet has everything in it and is built in our workshop for easy installation.
Everything is local.
Batteries and inverter from Melbourne. DC chargers from Brisbane, built in Darwin.
